Paragraph 1 ( DJ Panda Gets A Call )
DJ Panda looked around and saw the teacher pointing at dates and names of soldiers from world war 1. A few minutes later the class started talking about ANZAC day. He turned around to his best pal Jonas and started talking about ANZAC and how the ANZAC biscuits are so yum. Most of the older students about 17 years old started complaining and whining about how hot it was in the classroom because of the summer sun. Then he suddenly heard a vibration coming from somewhere in the classroom. A few seconds later he realised that it was his phone. He muted it and carefully took it out of his pocket hoping that his teacher wouldn’t see him with his phone. He saw 13 missed calls from an unknown person,he looked at the bottom of the screen and got shocked when he found out that it was from America.

Party Planner Group Reflection
Party Planner
Jasmine, Taanvi, Vrishti and Prisha
Jasmine - I think it went well. Our group worked collaboratively and we were able to work out our total amount. The downside to our group was that, we sometimes split up and we also sometimes disagreed on some things. Otherwise, we worked well. We all learned how to work together effectively, had equal air time and also we learned how to subtract and add decimals.
Taanvi - For collaborating i give 8/10 because at some times we went wondering to another group but we still had time to share our ideas and we also made our party creative. We made our game creative by adding a candy scavenger hunt and get to play charades.
Vrishti - My opinion in this activity was positive because we all participated equaly and we had a lot of creativity in our final copy! but sometimes we would walk to other groups and waste our time talking and mucking around.Overall I would say we collaborated effectivly and used our time wisley as we had a limited amount of time.
Prisha - I liked how we did the sequence of the party to go with it to show that we had planned a proper party and just not the budget. Aside that the collaboration wasn't quite good. Because when Vrishti was sharing she didn't know what to share. So that clearly told us that we weren't good collaborators

Grandpas Great Escape- By David Walliams
At the moment I am reading a fantastic book called Grandpas Great Escape. I found out about this book though the literature circles. So far I am up to the part where grandpa starts to live with Jack, his grandson. (Chapter 13). I am enjoying it so far and wonders how Jacks mum will cope with grandpa staying with them, since mum hates grandpa so much. Also wonder if grandpa will go missing like he did in the first few chapters, and will he have to go to Twilight Towers, the old folk home. For my literature circle meeting we have to read up to chapter 20 and I am at chapter 15. So far my favorite part of the story is when grandpa goes to Jack's class and tells them a story about his experience during the world war II till grandpa forgets what year it is.

Maths Reflection 2016
11/11/16
I have learnt loads of different ways to figure out things without using alguriams including rounding and compensating
I also learnt a whole new way of presenting you learning and that is the interactive journals that we did with Mrs Pearson and Ms Jensen
I learnt percentages this year, and i found that really fun to do and really handy in the real world
I enjoyed doing the interactive journals because it was a lot of fun to do and a different way to show your learning
Also the Number of the day was a great thing to do as daily 3 because it was using a number and doing different thing to it like subtracting
I would like to know how to divide huge numbers

Counting cogs
Yesterday and today we were working on an maths activity called Counting Cogs. In my group I was the questioner/includer. I was also working with 3 other students Shreya,Taanvi and Charlaye. My job was to ask any questions the groups had to the teacher and had to make sure everyone is having turns to share thier thinking. As well as being a substitute for any of the group members who was not at school and do thier role/job. Shreya was the Recoder/Reporter,Taanvi was the Resource monitor and Charlaye was the Facilitator. I think that our group collaborated good enough but next time we have to stay on task the whole time.
